SSbD24
The SSbD24 Conference on the 10th - 15th of November 2024 on Monte Verità aims to bring together experts from relevant fields and sectors who have started to work on specific methods, tools and criteria to enable the actual use of SSbD.
Experts from industry and value chains using chemicals and materials will present their first-hand experience in applying the SSbD framework in case studies, and regulators will express their views on how to operationalize the concept and related policy needs.
During the event, the following topics will be covered
- Frameworks and concepts relevant for SSbD (e.g., green and sustainable chemistry, Safe-by-Design chemicals and materials)
- Safety and sustainability assessments in the early innovation phase
- Toolboxes for SSbD
- Emerging concepts (e.g., social and economic assessments within SSbD, absolute sustainability assessments, consideration of trade-offs)
- SSbD case studies
- Science-policy-business dialogue
A special session will be organized by and for Early Stage Researchers to help networking and get familiar with opportunities on SSbD related topics in- and outside academia.
The call for papers is now open and you have the possibility to send in your abstract before the 14th of June 2024.
